Quotation & Sizing

We base all our quotes on the sizes provided by customer. The quotation is based on the nearest manufactured packaged quantity above the net sizes. We cannot be held responsible if there is a shortage of materials and the subsequent requirement for more material and the charges that will be incurred.

 

Returns

We do not accept returns of any floors or accessories that may be surplus after you have completed your floor. These were supplied based on information provided by customer.

 

Damages

Upon delivery and or collection of goods customers must check for damage. If goods are signed for then it is deemed that they are in perfect condition. If goods are damaged, please mark this clearly on the delivery note. If goods are signed for as damaged, please notify us immediately in order that we can arrange for replacements to be supplied asap on same carriage service as provided for original delivery.

 

Faults & Complaints

If there are any complaints about the flooring after it has been laid, then we must be notified as soon as possible. If the floor is manufactured by Bruce, Junckers, Kahrs or Tarkett or any other manufacturer who employs a representative we will arrange for them to visit and inspect as soon as is possible. They will only enter in to the complaints procedure if the floor has been laid according to their own guidelines, this is imperative. All complaints about floors from the CHF Collection will be handled by ourselves and the import agents, we will endeavour to rectify any problems or answer any queries as quickly as possible.

 

 

PLEASE NOTE

YOU ARE BUYING A PRODUCT OF NATURE AND BY DEFINITION ALL HARDWOOD FLOORS WILL HAVE MINOR BLEMISHES AND DEFECTS. HARDWOOD FLOORS ARE ALSO SUBJECT TO EXPANSION AND CONTRACTION DUE TO CLIMATIC CHANGES AND CONDITIONS WITHIN THE PROPERTY WHERE THEY ARE LAID. THIS CAN CAUSE MINOR GAPPING AS WELL AS CUPPING AND CAPPING. SOME INDIVIDUAL STAVES WITHIN THE FLOORS MAY ALSO SPLIT, THIS IS A RELATIVELY UNCOMMON OCCURRENCE BUT IT CAN HAPPEN AND IS NOT A FAULT. THERE ARE REPAIR LACQUERS AND PUTTY COMPOUNDS AVAILABLE TO TOUCH UP ANY OF THESE MINOR DEFECTS. ALL WOODEN FLOORS WILL MARK AND SCRATCH, THEY ARE NOT TOTALLY IMPERVIOUS TO WEAR AND TEAR. IF YOU HAVE ANY RESERVATIONS ABOUT THESE THEN DO NOT BUY A HARDWOOD FLOOR OR ANY NATURAL STONE OR VINYL FLOOR, THEY ALL WEAR NATURALLY WHICH WILL MEAN THAT THERE WILL BE MARKS AND INDENTATIONS - THESE ARE THE NORMAL CHARACTERISTICS OF HARDWOOD FLOORING.

 

Hardwood Flooring when new gives a slightly false impression of what it should look like, the floor gathers character with age and wear and if properly maintained it will last a lifetime.

 

HARDWOOD FLOORS REQUIRE PROPER CARE IN ORDER TO PRESERVE THEIR CONDITION, PLEASE REFER TO MANUFACTURES GUIDELINES OR FEEL FREE TO ASK US.

Ordering

All goods must be paid in full prior to dispatch or collection.
All cheques and card payments must also be as cleared funds prior to release of goods.

Forms of Payment Accepted

We can invoice via, paypal. We also accept cheques, bankers drafts and cash on collection.

Please note - if goods have to be ordered in to stock from outwith the UK, we will not accept cash. The floor must be paid for by use of any of our other methods.
 

After you have measured the size of the area you wish to cover, remember to add a small amount for cutting losses. It is generally accepted that an additional 6% will normally cover this.
