Rated a maximum five stars by installers, Kahrs hardwood flooring products have been around longer than many other manufacturers. Their Original Collection consists of one to three strip designs. What is three strip?

Three strip is a "longstrip" product design that has fillets of shorter hardwood veneers on the surface layer. The more common original series consists mostly of the two and three strip that measure 7 7/8" wide and 95 3/8" in length on one plank.

Sound confusing? Let's try it another way. Three strip design has three strips that make up the width of the board. Each strip is 2 5/8" wide. Two strip products have two strips approximately 4" in width across the width of the board total = 7 7/8 inches. Other original designs are full solid engineered planks measuring 5" to 7 3/8" wide of varying lengths and the standard 95 3/8"

In addition, Kahrs offers hand scraped and other distressed (wire brushed) products in the Castle & Cottage Collection , Boardwalk, and the Presidents Collection, a superb hand scraped product.

Finishing up their line of high quality hardwoods includes Kahrs Strip Studio, ideal for Herringbone designs with an equal number of rights and lefts. Mega Studio offers smooth and wire brushed hardwoods in both square and micro beveled edges measuring 4 inches in width.

    The Uniclic profile has been designed so that during installation the laminate flooring panels can be slotted together either angled or horizontally and without damage. This is very important in areas where angling is either difficult or impossible (under door frames or radiators, for example).

    The ingenious UNICLIC-system has a special shape of tongue and groove. Their sophisticated and very accurate milled shape makes it possible to create a very tight connection during the installation.

    You can use two simple techniques to make an UNICLIC connection.
